Sea Urchin Breeding Centre Seafood Restaurant is located in Tung A, High Island, Sai Kung. We are the first Restaurant that operates a natural sea urchin breeding in Hong Kong. Our Restaurant is near the shore with open seating. Our guests can enjoy an extensive sea view along with the soft sea breeze while enjoying our gourmet food. It is an absolutely beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. 


Furthermore, our sea urchin breeding centre is operated by the natives who have many years of experience in sea urchin breeding. Our centre has the natural environment, natural terrain, and clear water that is not only suitable for the growth of sea urchins; it is definitely a paradise for sea urchins. 


The quality and supply of sea urchins will vary according to different regions, climates, and water temperatures. Between February and June is the most lucrative time for harvesting in Hong Kong, the local sea urchins taste the best during the sea urchins season. 


Beside serving fresh sea urchin sashimi, our Restaurant also serves a variety of dishes that are made with sea urchins. In addition, we provide a variety of fresh fish, shellfish and seafood dishes.

A one-stop speedboat service is provided which brings our guests and their little ones to the designated beach for fun and enjoy our delicious seafood course. The Restaurant will provide sun shades/umbrellas and a shower place.

Speedboat sightseeing the UNESCO Global GeoPark - the four unique sea arches in Hong Kong which include the tallest and largest six pillar wooden stone Hua Shan Mountain and Po Pin Chau etc. After the tour, you will be returned to our Restaurant for a pre-arranged set seafood meal.

 

*All set menus require reservation a deposit for secure reservation (Guaranteed reservation).The reservation is subject to the first payment order.
*All set menus includes the speedboat transportation service.
*A guaranteed reservation allows one change except affected by the increment weather.
*The final payment of the set menu must be paid in the minimum number of people even though your party shows up less than the minimum requirements.

How to get to our Restaurant

☆Speedboat/Kaito service☆

 

  1. Make an appointment for the speedboat shuttle service of our Restaurant (departs immediately after pick-up), please click here for details of charges.
    • The boat journey is around 15 minutes
    • Fees may be adjusted, subject to prepayment of reservation fees
    • The above charges are not for charter boats. For chartered boat service, please liaise separately

     

  2. Find the speedboat service counter at Sai Kung Pier by yourself. Please negotiate with the counter of charges. This boat is non-scheduled service, subject to the time reported at the counter.

  4. Find the Kaito service at Sai Kung Pier by yourself. Please negotiate with the boat owner of charges. The boat trip takes about 60-90 minutes.

 

☆Taxi and Walking☆

 

Take a taxi (it is recommended to take a New Territories taxi in Sai Kung). After arriving at the signs for Tung Ah Village and Pak Ah Village, get off and follow the signs to Tung Ah Village. When you arrive at the junction of Pak Ah Village and Tung Ah Village, follow the signs of Tung Ah Village. When you arrive at Tin Hau Temple, you can reach our Restaurant via a small staircase next to Tin Hau Temple. The whole journey is around 30 minutes and it’s easy to walk.

 

*High Island is a restricted area for vehicles. If you do not obtain a restricted area permit issued by the Transport Department, you will not be allowed to enter. Our Restaurant cannot provide the services for applying for a restricted zone permit.
